We run a scheme each year which pairs up higher year students with freshers. Helping you (freshers) to settle down at university guide you through your first year in the department.
No college experience would be complete without a night spent tuning your bowling skills. Last year EESoc organized an event at the Kingpin Suite, a venue that offers drinks, arcade games, karaoke and yes you guessed it, five bowling lanes.
Every year, EESoc organizes a glamorous black-tie dinner party — a great opportunity for you to mingle with both professors and fellow students while enjoying a formal 3-course meal at a lavish venue.
Our Careers Fair was attended by over 25 firms from the banking, consulting and engineering industries last year. Its the perfect platform for the top engineering and technology companies to meet the best technical engineers in the UK in an intimate environment.
EESoc runs careers talks throughout the year. Such talks are typically held in the department during lunchtime. We invite guest companies, many of whom are sponsors, to give tailored presentation to you, our members.
Last year, we worked with Microsoft to run a ‘hackathon’. This was an event where students pitted their wits against each other to create the most effective algorithm to solve an array of classical problems.

Ensuring EESoc is well funded for the future.
Hi everyone! I’m Rajan and I am your EESoc Treasurer for this year. I am responsible in ensuring the society is well funded, so that we can provide you with top-quality events and experiences that enhance your time here as a student and make it as an enjoyable as possible!
Leading, coordinating and developing the society!
EESoc is a society run for students by students, like myself, and we aim to add more value (read: fun) to your university experience. We organise a wide range of activities for you - from arranging bar nights (with free drinks of course) and highly subsidised fancy dinners to getting top-class companies to chase YOU for internships and graduate roles. You’ll have your fair share of ups and downs for the next few years but rest assured, its going to be one hell of a ride!
Committed to delivering another great year.
Hello, my name is Koral and I am EESoc’s Secretary. EESoc pulls off an impressive range of events, which I got to help with in past - first as Webmaster and later as President.
This year, my goal will be to leverage my experience for helping the society avoid common pitfalls; so that the focus can be on making the year a truly great one.
EESoc has been a big part of my experience at Imperial and I really want all of our future alumni to remember the society with a smile on their face. You are one of those alumni! Come to our next event and we won’t disappoint.
Making uni more bearable!
Uni life can be tough, so the events team aims to improve it by planning and hosting tonnes of fun events for you. From pub crawls and bar nights, to black tie dinners, collaborations and maybe even a trip abroad - we’re the ones who make it happen!
For those of you not new to the department, you might remember me from last year as EESoc’s publicity officer, also known ‘that girl who always posts in all the EE facebook groups’. 1 year wasn’t enough for me, so I’m back in a new role!
I’m always around in the department (usually the library, cri), but don’t be put off by my resting bitch face - I love to meet new people in the department and to hear your ideas and feedback :)
Bringing you the best events all year round.
Hi everyone, I’m Eren and I will be the vice-president responsible for events for EESoc this year. For me EESoc has always been an integral part of the student experience in our department, working to enhance both the social and academic aspect of our time at university and to make sure that when we graduate (eventually) we do so having experienced some of the best years of our lives. EESoc has given much to me throughout my time at Imperial, and in my final year I hope to be able to do the same for all of you.
Adding spice to your life.
I’m Kunal, a second year EIE student and one of your two amazing events officers!
It’s easy to get bogged down by modules, coursework, increased Fusion prices and malfunctioning toilets. Sometimes you need to let your hair down and have a good time.
That’s what we’re here for! We’ve got many exciting plans for the year - bar nights, departmental events, collaborations - and hope to you enjoy these with friends old and new, and look back fondly on these events in the years to come. Catch me at any EESoc event and let me know what you think of it!
Bringing you them lit companies.
Hi everyone! I’m Vaikkun, a 3rd year EEE student and I will be your industrial liaison officer. My objective is to attract companies to our society from a variety of different sectors and provide you the opportunity to learn more about each and every one of them. As students, we aim to actively look for employment opportunities outside of our degree as well as study hard during term time. This has led to me not only continuing company relationships from the past, but also forging new ones for the present.
This coming year expect to gain a great amount of company exposure through a variety of events that will inspire you to ignite your career path!
Improving our fundraising capabilities and sponsorship agreement processes.
My name is Gasim, I’m a third year EEE with Management student and your EESoc Vice President (Industry) this year. As part of my role, I aim to re-evaluate EESoc’s sponsorship scheme to ensure both the society and our sponsors can make the most of these partnerships. So, if you have any suggestions or request for sponsor-related activities, I’d like to hear them!
Living the high life!
Hey! I am a second year EIE student from India. I am one of the ILO for EESoc.
Being an international student myself, I understand that most of us have moved far away from our homes to have better opportunities in life. It is my job to make sure that these opportunities are easily available to all our members by partnering with right companies and giving you a direct line of connection with them.
I hope our work impresses you and helps you choose the right career path.
Delivering easy access to lockers, events and sales on all your devices.
Haaris here, your friendly neighbourhood webmaster. Its my second year as webmaster so I now have a good understanding of the nitty gritty details of our server. This year my focus will be on front-end as it was on back-end the previous year. Needless to say, please be patient while we update our front homepage. It'll be a while in the making but feel free to drop me an email for any new suggestions or if you find bugs!
Representing the Women in EE!
Hi! I’m Sara, fourth year student and President of Women in Electrical Engineering. Being a girl in EE can sometimes be intimidating, since there aren’t many of us right now. I will do everything I can to create a positive environment and build a sense of community between the women in the department, by promoting female empowering. To do so, me and the rest of the Women in EE team will be organising workshops and social events targeted at the girls (but guys are more than welcome to tag along) to spread some GRL PWR around!
Publicity stunt in progress...
Hey everyone!! I’m Raj, 2nd Year EEE student and the Publicity Officer at EESoc this year. My job is to ensure that the department is aware of all EESoc related events that will be taking place. Make sure to read the weekly newsletter and let me know if you have any questions!
